Selected Autos Ltd can offer up to 3 year mechanical warranty assurance with AA roadside assistance for all pre-owned European and Japanese vehicles through Autosure New Zealand which is wholly owned by Vero Insurance New Zealand Ltd.

When purchasing a new motor vehicle, the last thing on your mind is mechanical breakdown. However vehicles today are complex and have so many mechanical and electrical components. Autosure Mechanical Breakdown policies are designed to help protect you and your vehicle against the cost of sudden or unforeseen breakdown.

Qualifying Vehicles

The policy covers vehicles that are less than 16 years old and that have travelled less than 225,000 kms at the commencement of cover.

Claim Limits

Generous claim limits are applied to every claim, dependant on the mileage of the vehicle at time of sale.

Excess

An excess must be paid in respect of every claim.

Servicing

All vehicles need maintenance and servicing. To keep this policy valid you are required to have your vehicle serviced in accordance with the terms of the policy.

  • STANDARD VEHICLES: Excess $100 or $200
    Petrol powered vehicles other than those described in B & C and not listed in Excluded Vehicles.
  • SPECIAL CATEGORY VEHICLES: Excess $250
    • Turbo vehicles
    • Diesel vehicles
    • Supercharged vehicles
    • Hybrid vehicles
    • Vehicles manufactured in the USA
  • EUROPEAN VEHICLES: Excess $350
    Diesel or Petrol powered vehicles manufactured in Europe including but not limited to: Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroen, Daimler, Fiat, Jaguar, Lancia, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Mini, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Rover, Saab, Seat, Skoda, Vauxhall, Volvo and Volkswagen.

Servicing Requirements

All vehicles must be serviced within the following distance or period, whichever occurs first from when the vehicle is purchased:

  • Petrol powered vehicles must be serviced every 15,000km or 12 months.
  • Diesel powered vehicles must be serviced every 10,000km or 12 months.
